Wonderful Coconut

Coconut is a central part of life in many tropical locales with virtually every part of the plant finding some use. Thailand is the #1 producer of coconut milk in the world, and as a result there is a great abundance of husk. The husk is first stripped of it coarse fibers which are sun dried and bundled for use in mattresses and rope.
The result is a fine crumbly material which our coco peat is made from. It is first aged  and then washed at our factory.
The coconut groves from which our product is sourced from is inland and thus contains low levels of salts to begin with.
Here are some other facts about coconuts;
Rope made from the fiber in the coconut is resistant to mold and performs well in the ocean unlike cotton rope.
Leaves are used for thatching houses.
Shells are made into a hot burning charcoal.The nut kernel(coconut) is a rich source of  nutrition  containing; 3.5 calories per gram 33% fat and 5% protein roughly.
The wood is used in construction.
The water inside the fresh nut can be used as a replacement for blood plasma in a transfusion.
